We are Alex and Pat, two Bros from southern Germany, and we are planning an epic journey from our small Bavarian village across the African continent to beautiful Cape Town.
The two of us have been seeking an adventure for a while now. After considering many possibilities we were inspired by Ewan McGregor and Charlie Boorman´s “A Long Way Down” to cross the African continent.
Now we would like to introduce ourselves….
After finishing High School in 2009, I went on a trip around the world, visiting several countries in Africa, as well as Australia and the US.
I then studied Business and Management at Oxford Brookes University and finished in 2014.
Up until July 2017 I worked as the Assistant to the CFO of Stahlgruber GmbH.
However, my passion is travelling, photography and African wildlife. It has been a dream of mine for a long time to become a professional Field Guide, which is why I have just completed my FGASA Field Guide Level 1 qualification.
I finished High school one year after Pat and completed my compulsory military service in Füssen and Bad Reichenhall.
After studying one semester of Plastics Technology, I decided to start an apprenticeship scheme as a car mechanic. Since then I have been working at a local Audi dealership.
Several trips on my motorcycle fostered my interest to travel and discover new countries and places. Luckily, in Pat I found a Bro with whom I share this passion.
